Amazon Prime Day 2018 will begin on July 16, 2018, at 12 p.m. PT/3 p.m. ET and will run through July 17, 2018. This will be a total of 36 hours of promotional events, an increase of 6 hours from last year’s Prime Day. Last week Amazon announced that it will offer more than 1 million deals worldwide and 50% more spotlight deals, including deal notifications from the Amazon app, Watch a Deal and Alexa Shopping deals that are accessed by interacting with artificial intelligence (AI) assistant Alexa.
Amazon also revealed that during Prime Day their Alexa Shopping deals will be further encouraged by the chance to win, for one grand prize winner, the Alexa Home-Smart-Home Sweepstakes and an Alexa-enabled 2019 Lexus ES and a complete Alexa smart home package. There is not a link yet to this contest but should be coming in the next couple days, we believe.
Currently, as a Prime member, there are some early deals you can purchase before Prime Day.
