Austin’s Fall Pecan Street Festival: Men of Austin Get Groomed for Prostate Cancer

pecan-streetAttention to all our bearded men of AustinWahl is bringing its 30-foot mobile barbershop to the 10 Most Facial Hair Friendly Cities in America and 5th ranked Austin is up next!

The city of Austin is known for it’s live music, SXSW (South By Southwest)), ACL (Austin City Limits), the Pecan Street Festival and several other festivals. The Pecan Street Festival that is a free two-day arts festival held twice yearly on sixth street in downtown Austin. It is one of my favorite festivals to attend not only because of the live music and fantastic street food but the festival attracts hundreds of local and national artisans offering original handcrafted creations in a variety of mediums, from metal, wood, fiber, clay, leather, glass and stone.

The Pecan Street Festival has been tradition that is 100% Austin for more than three decades. In fact nearly 50 of Austin’s top musical acts, from up-and-comers to renowned veterans, perform on three stages, located on Trinity, Neches and Red River streets at the Pecan Street Festival.

pecanThis year I am excited to announce the Wahl’s Facial Hair Friendly Cities Tour that will be at the Pecan Street Festival. Master barbers will offer FREE facial hair trims while seeking out the guy with the best scruff to sponsor as Wahl Man of Austin. That guy will go on to compete for the ultimate title of Wahl Man of the Year. The tour also supports a good cause. For every facial hair trim performed, Wahl will donate $1 to ZERO – The End of Prostate Cancer.

Though I mostly write on women and technology the Wahl’s Facial Hair Friendly Cities Tour is a fantastic way to raise money for our male family or friends in an effort to raise money to the end of Prostate Cancer with Wahl Facial Hair Tour. Below is more information about their presence at Austin’s Pecan Street Festival and how you can donate to end Prostate Cancer click here.

Men’s grooming leader Wahl is visiting the Top 10 Most Facial Hair Friendly Cities in America. The next stop on the tour is the #5 ranked city — Austin. Wahl will be parking its 30-foot mobile barbershop at The Pecan Street Festival from September 24-25, 2016.

A team of master barbers will be offering FREE trims for a good cause and looking for guys with the best scruff — as in mustache, beard or goatee — to represent the city as Wahl Man of Austin; this lucky guy will then go on to compete for the top title of Wahl Man of the Year.

Happy Pecan Festival in ATX 2016; if you find me take a selfie with me! I will also tweet during the event.
